International Podcast Day: Podigee unveils the open operating system for podcasts

September 30, 2026

The new Podigee brings recording, audio and video publishing, advanced analytics, and open AI workflows together in one platform

Berlin, September 30, 2026. On International Podcast Day, Podigee today launches its fundamentally redesigned platform. Under the guiding idea “All Your Podcast Tools. One Podigee.”, the podcast platform becomes an open operating system for podcasts: the essential tools for recording, hosting, distribution, analytics, content repurposing, and monetization are built in. At the same time, the system remains extensible through open interfaces, integrations, and the new Podigee MCP Server, connecting external tools and AI assistants.

The new Podigee is designed for creators, marketing and communications teams, and professional podcast operators such as studios, agencies, publishers, broadcasters, and networks. Podigee sees itself not merely as a tool provider, but as a technology partner that personally supports customers from their first episode to the operation of entire podcast portfolios. The goal is to make the complete workflow for audio and video podcasts simpler, clearer, and easier to scale, from the first recording to performance analysis across multiple shows and platforms.
“Podcasting should be easy. Our team has put a great deal of work into making it that way: guests only need a link to join, a recording becomes an episode with one click, and Podigee prepares the next steps, from the transcript, title, and description to show notes and chapter markers. This reduces routine work and gives creators more time for their content,” says Mateusz Sójka, Co-founder and CEO of Podigee.

Record directly in Podigee

With Podcast Recording, audio and video conversations can be recorded directly in the browser. Guests join without installing additional software, while each participant’s audio and video are captured locally in full quality. The result is then available directly in Podigee as an episode. A transcript is created in parallel and provides the basis for further steps such as titles, descriptions, show notes, chapter markers, quotes, and short-form content for other channels.

This shortens the path from recording to publication. Solo creators and small marketing teams in particular can manage recording, editing, and publishing in one continuous workflow instead of moving files and metadata between multiple services.

One workflow for audio and video

Podigee brings audio and video together in a single workflow. Users decide whether to publish audio only or add video as well. The audio track for a traditional RSS feed can be generated automatically from a video recording, while metadata is maintained once and distributed consistently.

Audio and video episodes can be distributed from one system to Spotify, Apple Podcasts, YouTube, Amazon Music, Deezer, and other platforms. For content repurposing, Podigee can also generate short videos, audiograms, quotes, newsletter content, and draft articles. Users remain in control of which suggestions they adopt and publish.

Advanced analytics, now for video too

Podigee has stood for accurate podcast statistics since 2013, even before the IAB Tech Lab published its first podcast measurement guidelines in September 2016. Today, Podigee Analytics is independently certified in accordance with the IAB Podcast Measurement Guidelines v2.1.

The new analytics interface brings all shows together in a single overview. Alongside Podigee’s figures, Spotify and YouTube are shown as separate sources. Every metric clearly indicates where it comes from, enabling precise analysis without mixing different measurement methods.

Advanced analytics features include:

  • a single overview of all shows,
  • clear reach, download, and usage metrics,
  • Spotify and YouTube as separate data sources alongside Podigee’s figures,
  • a clear source reference for every metric,
  • reports and exports for teams, clients, and executives.

This gives creators, marketing teams, and professional operators a reliable foundation for optimization and reporting across individual episodes, platforms, and entire podcast portfolios.

European infrastructure and data privacy

Podigee operates its servers in Germany and other European Union countries. This also makes the platform suitable for companies, publishers, and public-sector organizations with stringent data privacy and data residency requirements. Data is processed in compliance with the GDPR, including a data processing agreement; the podcast player operates without cookies or tracking.

Encrypted data transfer and granular roles and access permissions help teams securely involve internal and external contributors. Podigee combines European data residency with fast global delivery.

Openness as a core principle

Existing podcasts have always been importable to Podigee from any other provider. RSS feeds, episodes, audio files, and metadata are transferred, enabling a smooth move without having to rebuild a show from scratch.

The feed belongs to the podcasters. This principle has shaped Podigee since its founding: first through open RSS feeds, and later through its API and integrations. Podigee is now also expanding the already available Podigee MCP Server. Previously limited to analytics, it will in the future connect additional areas of podcast production with AI assistants.
“The feed belongs to the podcasters. Anyone who wants to use their own tools or AI assistants can connect them through open interfaces such as the MCP Server. We do not force anyone into a closed system: podcasters retain the freedom to work with the tools that suit them,” says Mateusz Sójka.
Users can manage podcasts and episodes, prepare publications, use transcripts and analytics data, and automate recurring workflows. The connection works with Claude, Codex, and other compatible MCP clients through browser-based sign-in. Expanded access will be rolled out gradually through a waitlist, with further direct integrations to follow.

Built for three types of professional podcasting

The new Podigee was developed around three core use cases:

  1. Creators get a seamless, easy-to-use workflow that reduces routine work and creates more time for content, community, and monetization.
  2. Marketing and communications teams can produce audio and video with limited resources, repurpose content, and report results transparently. Roles, permissions, and open integrations simplify collaboration with internal and external contributors.
  3. Professional podcast operators can centrally manage multiple shows, clients, and brands. Portfolio analytics, granular access permissions, repeatable workflows, and open interfaces help studios, agencies, publishers, broadcasters, and networks operate at scale.
