Life in Rural France, a new weekly podcast dedicated to exploring all that France has to offer, is launching on Tuesday, March 19th 2024.
Hosted by British Expat and Blogger Kylie Lang, who has lived in the Charente region of France since 2016, each episode will take you on a journey of discovery.
Having travelled extensively all around France, finding the medieval villages time forgot, Atlantic gems where the seafood is to die for and uncovering secrets about the cities on the top of everyone’s French bucket list, it’s the perfect way to indulge in some French fun.
As a self-confessed history geek, she’s unearthed some fascinating stories about French history, such as the fact that the croissant didn’t actually come from France and why the court at Versailles never wore the same pair of shoes twice.
You’ll be licking your lips as you hear about the myriad of food festivals in France, where to find the best French cheeses and how the apple dessert Tarte Tatin got its name.
And that’s before she starts on the wine. If you’ve ever wondered how champagne came about, what makes cognac so special, and which region of France has the best wine, you won’t be disappointed.
KYLIE LANG, Podcast Host: “I can’t wait to share my experience of living in a tiny little village in the middle of nowhere in France, the trips to the boulangerie, the fabulous French wine, and the joie de vivre of French life. One thing I can promise is it won’t be boring. Who knows what we might discover together on this rollercoaster ride of life in rural France. If you’re planning a trip to France or are a closet Francophile looking to live vicariously through someone else living the French dream, Life in Rural France will provide a sprinkle of French sunshine and a lot of French fun.”
