Back from the Brink, a new video-first podcast from Mutual of Omaha’s Wild Kingdom, brings Wild Kingdom’s visual energy and conservation storytelling to a digital-first generation while building on more than six decades of television history. Each episode explores a species once on the brink of extinction and the conservationists, scientists, and advocates who helped protect its future.
The trailer for Back from the Brink launched today, offering a first look at some of the natural world’s most remarkable comeback stories before the premiere episode featuring Jeff Corwin, biologist and host of Wildlife Nation with Jeff Corwin, arrives July 23. Corwin joins the team to discuss the extraordinary recovery of the green sea turtle. New episodes will be released every other week and will be available on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, YouTube, and other major podcast platforms.
Hosted by Dr. Rae Wynn-Grant and narrated by Peter Gros, Back from the Brink pairs Wild Kingdom’s signature storytelling with insights from leading conservation experts. In addition to Corwin, guests this season include oceanographer and producer Philippe Cousteau on coral reefs, bear biologist and Tooth & Claw host Wes Larson, on grizzly bears, wildlife educator and Brave Wilderness host Coyote Peterson on the American alligator, and conservation educator Kristin Hill on North American songbirds, to spotlight species that nearly disappeared — and the people who helped bring them back.
