New Podcast ‘Unshaming’ by Journalist Jordan Gonsalves Examines How Shame Is Fueling America’s Loneliness Epidemic

New York City, New York — June 9, 2026 — At a time when Americans are more connected than ever, loneliness continues to rise and a new podcast is asking a deeper question: What’s keeping us from truly being seen?
Unshaming, hosted by journalist Jordan Gonsalves and produced by Multitude, launches June 17, 2026 with new episodes released weekly. Through raw, emotionally honest conversations, the show explores how shame quietly shapes our relationships, identity, ambition, intimacy, and sense of belonging and what becomes possible when we finally bring those hidden experiences into the open.
Part cultural conversation, part emotional deep-dive, Unshaming creates the feeling of being invited to a dinner party where no topic is off the table. Each episode brings together therapists, cultural voices, spiritual leaders, and storytellers for conversations that challenge secrecy, spark reflection, and remind listeners they are not alone in what they carry.
Blending expert insight with deeply personal storytelling, the podcast sits at the intersection of culture, psychology, and human connection offering audiences a new kind of space to navigate the complexities of modern life.

ABOUT THE HOST
Jordan Gonsalves is a graduate of the Columbia School of Journalism and creator of Unshaming. His reporting focuses on shame, identity, and the loneliness epidemic in America, inspired by his own experience growing up Catholic and gay. His master’s thesis was published in Time Magazine, and he previously hosted the interview podcast But We Loved at iHeartMedia, which was nominated for Podcast of the Year at the GLAAD Awards.
