Pinna, Realm’s award-winning audio streaming service for kids and families, today announced the official launch of Season 6 of Grimm, Grimmer, Grimmest, the critically acclaimed interactive storytelling podcast hosted by New York Times bestselling author Adam Gidwitz. The new season premiered exclusively for Pinna subscribers on August 6, with new episodes dropping weekly through October 8.
The audience has grown dramatically since the series launched in 2018, with downloads growing 77% in 2025 alone. This season builds on the show’s continued momentum and adds a special new twist. Over the past year, Gidwitz invited listeners behind the scenes through Adam’s Sneak Peeks, sharing early versions of stories and inviting kids and families to weigh in on what they wanted to hear. Their feedback helped shape the stories that became Season 6. The finished season was recorded during live storytelling sessions with elementary school students at Brooklyn’s PS 321 and Staten Island’s PS 9 The Naples Street School, capturing the candid questions, laughter, and reactions that have become a hallmark of the series.
Season 6 introduces new voices and stories to the Grimm, Grimmer, Grimmest universe, including Filipina storyteller Liz Gotauco, another installment of Sana Alimohamed’s 1001 Arabian Nights, and a first foray into Norse tales with fairy-tale expert Mr. Dragan.
Pinna subscribers can stream Season 6 exclusively on Pinna throughout the fall, bringing fresh stories to families just in time for back-to-school listening and the Halloween season. Following the subscriber-exclusive window, Season 6 will make its wide debut across podcast platforms early next year. Ahead of the wide winter release, Pinna is rolling out Adam’s Sneak Peeks in the main podcast RSS feed. Dropping one episode per week through the rest of the year, the 20-episode preview series offers open-feed listeners early-version recordings before they were performed with live classroom audiences.
