The History Chicks has signed an exclusive deal with Airwave podcast network that includes distribution, monetization, and marketing of the popular history show. The History Chicks’ podcast The Recappery will also move to Airwave.

Since 2011, Beckett Graham and Susan Vollenweider aka the “History Chicks” have continued to bring the hidden stories of women in history to light. With over 350 episodes, The History Chicks is among the top history podcasts on Apple and has received numerous podcast awards and nominations.

By signing with Airwave, The History Chicks gains access to a full-service network with a leading roster of history shows and a comprehensive offering of growth strategies and monetization tools from host-read and programmatic advertising to paid subscriptions, books, and live events.

“As an avid history nut, I am delighted to welcome one of my favorite history shows to Airwave,” said Ben Mathis, Airwave CEO. “History is perhaps Airwave’s most important genre, and our partnership with Susan and Beckett reaffirms our commitment to telling the often overlooked stories of women and other underrepresented groups.”

Beckett Graham and Susan Vollenweider commented: “Airwave is a perfect fit for our podcast, and we are excited to work with a network that is so dedicated to helping history podcasts grow and thrive.”

Audio Primes: The People Who Listen to Podcasts

Thursday, April 16th at 2PM EST

In this webinar, Sounds Profitable unveils Audio Primes, a new audience segment sponsored by RSS.com and drawn from The Podcast Landscape 2025 study. These are podcast consumers who listen to at least three-quarters of their content as audio, and they defy every stereotype you might have about them. We'll walk through who they are, how they consume media, what drives their remarkable loyalty, and why they function as the word-of-mouth engine of the entire podcast ecosystem. Join Tom Webster, Partner at Sounds Profitable, and Alberto Betella from RSS.com as they present original research you won't find anywhere else. Whether you sell ads, make shows, or build platforms, you'll leave with a clearer picture of the audience that matters most and a better understanding of what to do about it.
