The winners for this year’s International Women’s Podcast Awards have been announced in a packed ceremony at the IET London: Savoy Place. With entries from 34 countries across 10 categories and almost a third of entries utilising the IWPA Bursary Fund, the judging panel, consisting of podcasting and audio professionals globally, were deeply impressed with the breadth and quality of entries submitted.
A full list of the winners and runners up can be found on the IWPA website.
The winners and runners up were awarded at this year’s event, which recognised exceptional ‘moments’ of audio brilliance and took place overlooking the River Thames with guests enjoying an exceptional view of the London skyline. Now in its 4th year, the awards brought together podcasters, audio professionals, and podcast enthusiasts to celebrate the remarkable achievements of women in podcasting worldwide.
The IWPA Bursary Fund was established in 2022 to facilitate complimentary entry and tickets to the awards – either in person or virtually – to anyone, anywhere in the world that might benefit, and thanks to support from BBC Sounds, Amazon Music and Wondery, was once again open for tickets to the awards this year. The IWPA Bursary was widely utilised for entries and tickets in 2024, and the team are looking forward to continuing this work in 2025.
The International Women’s Podcast Awards recognises and honours the outstanding contributions made by a wide range of folks in the podcasting sector, from those who are self-taught and producing shows solo, to those part of larger teams at established audio companies. Podcasting is a powerful medium that provides a platform for people to tell their story, showcase their work, and have their voice heard.
This year’s event showcased the remarkable work and creative excellence of podcasters across ten categories. From educational and informative shows, to captivating storytelling, the International Women’s Podcast Awards recognise those creating exceptional work. A panel of judges consisting of podcasters, journalists, and experienced professionals evaluated the submitted entries and selected the winners across all categories.
A huge thank you to everyone who attended and supported the event, both in-person and online!
