We’re officially a few weeks away from taking over Terminal 5 in New York City September 14–18, bringing together the business, advertising and creator sides of podcasting across five days.

The week starts with the inaugural Sounds Profitable Business Summit, continues with the official IAB Podcast Upfront After Party, and closes with two days of Podcast Movement NYC.

Here’s what’s coming and how you can still get involved…

The Sounds Profitable Business Summit

On September 14–15, the inaugural Sounds Profitable Business Summit will bring the buy side and sell side of podcasting together at Terminal 5 for two days built around one thing: getting the right people in the room.

Nearly 200 brand, agency and advertiser representatives are already registered, joining Sounds Profitable partners from across the podcast ecosystem.

The first announced in the speaker lineup includes Ira Glass, Don Lemon, Rich Roll, Kimberly Adams, Maggie Sellers Reum, and representatives from Amazon and Scalable.

Programming will combine new research, case studies, and fast-paced sessions with extended networking windows designed to give attendees the time to actually meet, talk and do business.

And, like Podcast Movement, not one minute of stage time has been sold.

We’ll be releasing the full schedule next week and are expecting some major announcements from the stage over the two days. Trust me, you really won’t want to miss this. If you’re a Sounds Profitable partner, there is still time to get your ticket.

The IAB Podcast Upfronts After Party and Podcast Movement Kickoff

Between the Business Summit and Podcast Movement, we’ll bring the whole industry together for the official IAB Podcast Upfront After Party on Wednesday, September 16 at Terminal 5.

Business Summit attendees, Podcast Movement attendees and IAB Podcast Upfront attendees are all eligible to join us.

The night will feature a live performance of Hangin’ with Dr. Z with comedians Sam Morril and Dave Hill, plus more special guests still to be announced.

Be sure to register to catch all of the fun.

Podcast Movement NYC

Then, on September 17–18, Podcast Movement takes over Terminal 5. The full schedule and Swapcard networking app are now live.

Registered attendees are automatically added and can now complete their profiles, see who’s attending, connect with the Podcast Movement community and start getting meetings on the calendar before arriving in New York.

We’ve intentionally redesigned Podcast Movement to help put the right people in the right rooms. Swapcard gives you the opportunity to identify who you want to meet and get time on the calendar now.

During the event, this year’s program will cover audience growth, video, AI, monetization, advertising, creator businesses, production, community building, podcast discovery and more.

We’ve also announced the first keynote sessions that will be taking the stage:

WTF is a Podcast in 2026?: We Asked, You Answered.
Tink Media’s Lauren Passell and Arielle Nissenblatt will tackle the increasingly complicated question of what actually counts as a podcast in 2026. They’ll cover how video, creators, platforms and changing audience behavior are reshaping the medium.

A First Look at The Podcast Landscape 2026
Sounds Profitable’s very own Tom Webster will unveil brand new research from The Podcast Landscape 2026, offering a first look at what the latest data tells us about the state of podcasting today.

And there’s more to come.

See Your Logo in Times Square

We’re taking the Sounds Profitable Business Summit and Podcast Movement to Times Square.

Sponsors and registered attendees can have their company logo or show art featured on a Times Square billboard during Podcast Movement week.

All you have to do is fill out the appropriate ticket registration form by Friday, September 4 and we will do the rest.

It’s a lot to fit into a week and a lot of change from what our industry is used to. We know that and we’re incredibly grateful to everyone who has helped bring this together. Whether you submitted a session, bought a ticket, invited media buyers to the Business Summit, gave us feedback on a crazy idea, etc, you’ve helped to shape this week, and consequently our industry for the better.

We can’t wait to see you all in NYC so soon.
